Dr. Kurtay-Sozmen is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry. She received her medical degree in Psychiatry from the University of Istanbul,Turkey and served as a Chief Resident in Adult Outpatient Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, New York. Dr. Kurtay-Sozmen has also held positions as Chair of the Department of Psychiatry, Northern Maine Medical Center in Fort Kent and Psychiatrist for Greater Lowell Psychiatric Associates in which she specialized in individual psychotherapy, including the treatment of Anxiety and Mood Disorders, Social Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, Acute and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders, Sleep Disturbances, Adjustment Disorders, Grief and uncomplicated ADD/ADHD. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and is a certified Jungian Therapist.
