| Dr. Brower received his doctorate in counseling psychology and is a Fellow of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He has held various training and teaching positions in family therapy and also studied developmental psychology at the Clinical Development Institute in Belmont, MA. He has been clinical director of two different drug treatment facilities along with staff positions at both Taunton and Danvers State Hospitals in Massachusetts. He participated in writing the original requirements for the New Hampshire Certification of Drug and Substance Abuse Counselors. In 1991 he cofounded Life Resource Center, a multidisciplinary behavioral healthcare facility in Amherst, NH. He sees himself as essentially a systems therapist whether working with groups, individuals or families. His continuing academic interest is in the study of development applications of non-linear dynamics as a metaphor for human social behavior. |
